What does 👹 mean

A grotesque, red-coloured face with big eyes, a human nose and a big smiling mouth with white fangs. Is supposed to represent a Japanese demon (oni) and is portrayed by a figure called Namahage, which originated in Japanese folk tales. According to tradition, one should dress up as Namahage during New Years Eve, with the aim of trying to discourage evil spirits and protect ones family.
